The Colorado Rush are pleased to announce that Diego Cerro has recently accepted the position of Technical Director at B-Elite Rush in Aurora. In addition, Jeff Carroll has been promoted to Girls Technical Director at Colorado Rush North while Una Einarsdottir has been promoted to the Director of Coaching for Competitive Girls & ECNL Associate Director in Lakewood/Littleton.

Cerro most recently worked at the Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club where he was the Director of Player Recruitment and Development. He brings a wealth of experience both as a player and coach, and will oversee the day to day operations of B-Elite Rush teams in Aurora. Furthermore, with his coaching background in both boys ECNL and DA programs, Diego will have a significant impact in the development and growth of all Rush teams in every location.

Carroll spearheaded the implementation of the DPL into Colorado Rush and his expertise will be extremely valuable for the families in the north Denver area. In addition, Jeff will oversee all North girls programming and staff as well as work closely with the Lakewood/Littleton branch with player identification for national platforms. With Carroll’s advancement as the Technical Director at Colorado Rush North, Una Einarsdottir has been promoted to Director of Coaching for Competitive Girls and ECNL Associate Director in Lakewood/Littleton. Una will oversee the day to day operations of all competitive girls teams and assist Russell Finch, the ECNL Director, with all ECNL programming.

“With the addition of Diego, we’re extremely excited because we have brought someone with fantastic experience and an exceptional pedigree to our club. Diego is a very good teacher who can help players and coaches alike. He’s helped players progress to both the collegiate and professional levels, and those qualities will be extremely valuable to Colorado Rush.” —Mark Hiemenz, Executive Director, Colorado Rush Soccer Club

“Jeff has so much experience growing and developing programs and players. His promotion to the North will be invaluable to both the competitive girls teams and DPL programs in that area. With that being said, Una is a tireless worker who brings the needed energy and leadership to continue the growth of our competitive and ECNL programs.” --John Carroll, President/CEO, Colorado Rush Soccer Club

"Jeff has been in this game for years at all levels. His experience, knowledge and love for the game is second to none. He is an amazing person who looks to build not just the player but the person. He will be welcomed with open arms in the North as he will bring so much value to our program. We can't wait to get him started with all of our staff and players!"

B-Elite Soccer Academy and the Colorado Rush Soccer Club are thrilled to announce they’ll be joining forces to offer an unparalleled soccer experience for their respective members beginning this spring 2024. The merger will enhance and expand playing opportunities for both boys and girls throughout the Colorado community. Colorado Rush brings over 25 years of experience and maintains a significant presence in the Girl’s Academy (GA) League, Development Player League (DPL), Elite Academy (EA) League and ECNL RL for boys while B-Elite boasts membership in the boy’s ECNL and ECNL RL and girl’s DPL. This variety of competitive playing platforms are just a few of the positive benefits that will be realized by the merger of these two outstanding clubs. When evaluating the possibility of merging clubs, B-Elite and Colorado Rush share values critical to the long-term success of their athletes and clubs. First and foremost, both clubs are committed to fostering mental, emotional and physical development of young soccer players. By combining “The Rush Way” and B-Elite coaching methodologies, the merger will result in an expansive and elite player pool that will maximize each athlete's opportunity and potential. Players will excel technically and tactically in an athlete-centered environment for long-term development while playing games in local and nationally recognized leagues throughout the U.S., including the GA, DPL, ECNL, ECNL RL, EA, and CSA.
