Elite Academy League

The Elite Academy League (EAL) was launched to provide enhanced player development opportunities extending best in class standards and providing clubs and players with a national platform to compete at the highest level.

EAL has eight Divisions across the United States, and B-Elite’s U13 – U19 boys will compete in the Midwest one starting Fall 2021.

B-Elite EAL Program

The B-Elite EAL program represents the highest standard of play and expectation in B-Elite. In the U11-U14 Academy age groups, players are introduced to the habits, attitudes, and playing standards required to become an elite youth player. In the U15-U19 levels, players are prepared technically, tactically, physically, and psychologically for successful playing and academic careers in college, or entree into the professional game.

The B-Elite EAL Program is designed for the most talented and committed players throughout our region. The intention is to limit the number of participating players to approximately 25 players per age group.

B-Elite EAL teams will play in the highest appropriate CSA league and participate in various tournaments including showcases and State/Presidents Cup(s).

The commitment of time and financial resources for B-Elite EAL Program players are at a higher level than those found in the B-Elite Competitive Program experience.

All B-Elite EAL teams will have 3-4 training sessions a week depending on age and time of the year, all year round, from August to May, and will receive customized athletic performance training.

    B-Elite EAL Development Philosophy

    U11-12: Season 21-22 U11 (2011’s) and U12 (2010’s) are 9v9

We adapt the sessions/drills each week, connecting the actions (technical/tactical) that are happening in the game based on our soccer method at B-Elite.

Our players are growing with an attractive style of soccer, adjusting the technical executions and tactical decisions of the system/style and especially the positions they play. During these ages the technical progression is essential.

Our players are always trying 2-3 positions on 9v9 to be ready before they do the jump to 11 aside.

We start to introduce/develop set pieces in def and off.

For us, technical precision and decision-making are basic to connect with each other on the field on any system/style.

Winning games is part of the process, and losing games too. Our players have to grow in both environments, trying to compete well while executing our method and playing a large number of minutes on the opponent’s half.

The playing time is 50% of the total minutes most of the time, open to very few exceptions.

Core values like respect, effort, and teamwork are crucial to create a culture of people and players in our club.

U13: Season 21-22 is their first year playing 11 aside for the 2009’s

In the first year of 11 a side it is basic to adapt early to the points below regarding their physical growth, dimensions of the ball, field, and goal.

We are adding new options regarding style/individual + collective movements with and without the ball and our system is always based on the associated style of soccer of the system 1-4-3-3.

During the first year of 11v11, our players start to get introduced (small samples) to the physical aspect connected with the ball in a bigger space, helping them be more prepared for the future on 11 a side where our players have to be ready to handle an 11 aside competitive game well.

We adapt the sessions/drills each week, connecting the actions (technical/tactical) that are happening in the game based on our soccer method at B-Elite.

We continue developing the set pieces in def and off.

Our players are growing with an attractive style of soccer, adjusting the technical executions and tactical decisions of the system/style and especially the positions they play.

Our players were always tested in 2-3 positions in 9v9 to be ready for when they made the jump 11v11.

    U14-U19

These ages have to start being consolidated on 11 a side reinforcing all the points below regarding the style and system of B-Elite.

We are adding new options regarding style/individual + collective movements with and without the ball and our system is always based on the associated style of soccer of the system 1-4-3-3 while adding variety to the system.

Always basing on our clear style of soccer that we want to take care of the ball, the physical aspect is gaining more importance as a complement, and we are consolidating this point to help our players be ready to handle many 11 a side competitive games well. This is important throughout the process in these ages when the players are getting close to collegiate and European exploration.

We adapt the sessions/drills each week, connecting the actions (technical/tactical) that are happening in the game based on our soccer method at B-Elite.

Our players must be able to perform at a good level in at least 2 positions. We have to be consistent in set pieces in def and off.

The playing time is 50% of the total minutes most of the time, but during these ages, players must be prepared and understand that the number of minutes could vary throughout the season.

We want to help our players so that they can have college and European options, especially during the ages between U17 and U19.

    Barcelona Methodology
